What to Expect

Start here! Book this 1-hour starter session that will introduce you to self-defense and combatives. Learn critical skills in a safe, controlled environment. Start building your confidence! All levels welcome.

Realistic

During your training, we will debunk common “self-defense” myths together – why some advice you have been given may not ever apply. We will also replicate common street-focused environments such as low-light, confined spaces, and multiple opponents.

Effective

We understand the urgency of being safe TODAY. There is no time to waste. You will gain the tools you need immediately starting from your first session.

Individualized

Every person is different – the way you learn, your body type, your body’s natural responses. Working to understand what makes the most sense for you helps to *reveal the fighter in you*. When we train together, we also study your biomechanics against other body types – especially larger, stronger body types – so that you can learn how to adapt to your advantage.

Specialized

Jab. Cross. Kick. Jab. Cross. Kick.

We break out of the combination drill mentality and focus on TACTICS, not techniques. You need a strategic, tactical approach to dominate the fight. This training will show you how to develop: powerful strikes, weapon improvisation/retention, proprioception, evasive footwork, strong verbal skills, acute awareness, proper range, and timing.

Private & Semi-Private Training

Down & Dirty I: Essentials (recommended) – $360

A short course for 1–2 people designed to give you immediate empowerment. This course focuses on building core skills: mindset and vigilance conditioning, safety tactics, empty-hands striking, scenario pressure drills, practical applications, improvised weaponry, and ground escapes*. Sessions will either take place twice a week for 6 weeks, or 12 weekly sessions. Meet times are based upon your availability.

Down & Dirty II: Essentials – $499

This course combines Grappling for Girls and Down & Dirty I into one solid, progressive training program. Rest assured, you will be a ready fighter when you complete this course. Sessions will take place 3 times a week for 6 weeks.

Further fitness needs can be assessed and discussed

Grappling for Girls – $175

Grappling for Girls is a short course for 1–2 people focused on foundational ground escapes, transitions and groundfighting. Sessions will either take place twice a week for 3 weeks, or six weekly sessions. Meet times are based upon your availability.

Prerequisites

This is a beginner’s course so previous grappling experience is not necessary, but must have either attended a Power Up intro session or event workshop before registering for this course
